Soon after he subdued his co-contestants to clinch the ticket for Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency, May 27, 2022, he is one man not to waste time before he returned to his constituents on a Thank You Tour.
The novel idea gave credence to the fact that he hardly has time for frivolities. Two days after his victory at the primaries, he wasted no time than to come thanking the people through the local government chairmen, party exco, councilors, and delegates.
But what was witnessed during the Thank You Tour became a carnival of sorts. The Rt Hon Yusuf Adamu Gagdi had no inkling of what awaited him and his entourage.
His acceptance was not only displayed during the primaries, the people who welcomed him at the headquarters of Pankshin, Kanke, and Kanam were solidly massive. Their action was indicative of the way he has come to be accepted in the Federal Constituency and beyond.
If you thought it was just a street activity where his motorcade would be grounded with the outpouring of supporters trouping to welcome them, you didn’t get it right.
He got a rousing welcome beyond human comprehension. That is the measure he deserves, after all, Rt Hon Yusuf Gagdi has remained like the Rock of Gibraltar for the sake of his people, turning every opportunity into what is acceptable to them.
In all the local government areas, the local government chairmen became a reference point for what Gagdi has been doing for PKK in the last three years.
As if they (Hon Kakmena Audu, Hon Henry Gotip and Hon Dayyabu Garga) had held a meeting on what to say about Rt Hon Yusuf Gagdi, the trio as always told the world what a man he has become.
In the light of the united front APC has become, they had dropped all camps hitherto in existence as a happy family has been created to continue to work with determination for the ultimate goal: Winning all the offices the party has fielded candidates for the 2023 general elections.
From the local government chairmen, all standard bearers for all the positions in PKK and National Assembly as well as party officials and legislative leaders and supporters were on hand to lend a voice.
