Dr Patrick Dakum, the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial aspirant for Plateau State has pledged to pursue the course of peace and curb the incessant bloodletting in Plateau communities if given the opportunity in 2023.
Speaking at the weekend in Abuja when he was presented with the expression of interest and nomination form to seek the ticket of the party by a group of supporters, Dr Dakum said as one who has been an integral part of the effort at seeking a solution to the problems of the state, 2023 present a unique opportunity for him to implement what he believes would restore peace on the Plateau.
The CEO of the Institute of Human Virology, Abuja maintained that he stands a very good chance to pick the ticket of the party among the others 15 aspirants or so that have shown interest of which about four have picked forms.
“My chances are excellent, yes, every politician will say that his chances are good otherwise he would not run. But when you have a basis to say, then your chances are real. For one, I have a chance because of my abiding faith in God, I believe that God installs and God has taken me this far in life.
And I believe if God has taken me this far says it is enough, I am not going to argue. Heal one knows the best thing for me and for Plateau.”
