21st-century education should inspire creativity, encourage collaboration, develop critical thinking, and teach the art of effective communication to the student.
This should ultimately set the students up to respond to the fast-shifting economical, technological, and societal challenges and careers that are not even in existence.
HOW WE WILL DO IT
Generation Next will address these by:
Declaring state of emergency in the education sector to prioritize financing and project implementation.
Conducting the “Need Assessment” of the Education sector to reports gaps.
Use the Needs Assessment report to Develop the strategic plan of the sector to fill the reported Gaps.
Reviewing the curriculum and teaching methods to integrate Effective Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, and Creativity as targeted output from students.
Set the Strategic Plan Implementation and monitoring Team with specific Performance Indicators and Timelines.
Conduct Training, retraining, and upskilling of teachers to meet the reviewed curriculum and teaching methods.
Implement the quick fixes of the Strategic Plan in the areas of teacher recruitment, equipment, workshops, laboratories, infrastructures, enrolments, quality assurance, governance, and Education Information Management System (EIMS).
These skill sets will transform and set up our students to participate in the 21st-century global opportunities, create wealth and jobs, and set Plateau as a hub of creativity and digital economy.
